Irina FEDORENKO

Climate finance expert and serial green tech entrepreneur

Irina FEDORENKO is a Russian expert in climate finance and a serial green tech entrepreneur working on nature-based solutions for over 15 years. She is the Head of Origination at Abatable, a climate solutions platform, providing carbon market intelligence and driving investment into high-quality carbon projects.

Having obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford as a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust scholar, she co-founded Dendra Systems, a tech company that invented tree-planting drone technology. This work took Irina across Asia and Africa where she led mangrove restoration projects and learned about the "community-first" approach. Using these learnings she co-founded Vlinder, a community-centred blue carbon project developer, where she is currently an advisor.

As a Milestone Maker of the Nasdaq Center for Entrepreneurship, Irina co-founded FlyingForest - community-based platform allowing for access to ecosystem restoration technology.
