Federico is an innovative social entrepreneur and environmental advocate with a commitment to addressing global climate challenges. He is the Founder and CEO of a company that streamlines nature-based solutions to promote social equity and combat deforestation in Latin America. Additionally, he has advanced public policies to support market based mechanisms as a consultant for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the International Trade Center (ITC) of the United Nations. Building on his work at the ITC, he is also designing a tech and climate startup accelerator in Colombia along with the Government of South Korea. An active member of his local community in Colombia, Federico has led several youth-focused initiatives such as the ITC Ye! Community, UNCTAD Youth Action Hub, CIFOR Youth in Landscapes and the IAAS Bioeconomy Policy Paper. Recognized as an IUCN Young Changemaker, Federico has spoken at organizations like the Institute for Global Economics, the Geneva Graduate Institute, UNCTAD, and the ITC. He has received fellowships and scholarships from the U.S. Department of State, UK Royal Academy of Engineering, Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Westerwelle Foundation, Harvard Kennedy School, Yale School of the Environment, Oxford, MIT, Michigan State University, and the University of Chicago. Federico holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Michigan State University and a MicroMasters degree from MIT in Supply Chain Management.
